It seems she's feeling kinda sad, depressed! The photo itself is very sharp and colorful. I also like ur compo. Well done.

I'm baffled by the black sky. I've never seen sky that black naturally.
(but it does relate to the very hard to read text on your pages - black on gray is bad in this contrast level. Annoying.)

Looks like it's been darkened.

Surely shows desolation, or loneliness. Good shot.
Tima | March 4, 2007 4:39PM
Hi Hugh... the black you see is part of the shade hanging in front of the store she's walking by :-) If you peek through the shade you can actually see a glimpse of a very bright sky! Perhaps you were just kidding :-) Great picture, huh?
Eirtep Hguh | March 4, 2007 5:18PM
Maybe he is kidding dear Tima but I think the most likely scenario is that he is being a twit as per the ususal.
Karen | March 4, 2007 9:05PM
Hugh - I thought it was black sky for a minute too - then I noticed the very wiggly roof-line and all became clear. An optical illusion!
Hugh Petrie | March 9, 2007 2:49PM
It seems my reflection on Eirtep Hguh's comments (his name being a reverse of mine - a clever investment of time?) which I posted yesterday, have failed to be registered or have been expunged.

A twit on that for sure; but, as usual? And what marvelously clever comment have you added to this site. Your too gutless to even use your own name. What're you, a pompous jackass Brit?
Eirtep Hguh | March 9, 2007 5:36PM
Language Hugh dear, language.
Now how self-centred can a person be! Does everything in the world have to be about you Hugh? My name is Eirtep Hguh. This name was given to me by my parents. My father before me was an Eirtep Hguh and so were his father and his father’s father. Now I know this is your name in reverse but have you ever thought that maybe your name is my name in reverse? Or is there no room for thinking about things like this in your tiny world where Americans are god’s gift to mankind, anyone in a turban or hijab is a terrorist and a group of teenagers standing together are always dealing drugs?
Hugh Petrie | March 10, 2007 3:02PM
Frankly Mr. Eirtep Hguh, I think you're bullshiting about your name, but you could post a proof somewhere - at this point the only thing that would convince me. You might be true, names are weird, but it seems thin. I do note that Anagrams of names can be interesting. Ronald Wilson Reagan = Insane Anglo warlord, and Saddam Hussein = Dud ass in shame. Funny world.

As to Americans, the nation is bullshit, double taliking crap, building hell on earth, along with Islam, the Catholic Church (which does things Jesus said not to) and many others.

The worst is yet to come.

Have a nice day.

Forgot to add to previous: Your statement, ", anyone in a turban or hijab is a terrorist and a group of teenagers standing together are always dealing drugs?" That' s followed, I suppose, by every group of moslem looking youth in a group are likely planning stupid martyr attacks.

I wonder what leads you to what you wrote, since it is far from truth as I see it. But I'm a twit, so it would be interesting to have reference to what you've used to say so.

But it is true that it is easy to fall into what at least seems stereotyping for the fact the worlds peoples are too much sterotypes. You've just stereotyped me as a racist. I had a fellow white anglo say the same of me when I criticized Moslems who come to advantage themselves in America, but bring their poisonous baggae with them. Funny but the Imam in the area that critical woman lived, and lately ran for city council, - that Imam, on announcing his leaving to return to England - said the same thing I did. That Moslems coming to Canada or whatever should leave their baggage where they come from. So is that Imam racist?

God is Great! Peace be with you.

One thing about the image. It wouldn't have the impact it does if Kam had stepped out of the shadow and the sky had been as bright as the holes that are there to it. Too bright. The question rises - did he do this conciously or by accident. It had to be quick.

I'm sure you know, Eirtep.
Hugh Petrie | March 10, 2007 9:30PM
I ran a search on all published phones in Canada - nationwide - and found no Eirtep Hghh nor any similar.

I ran a Google on it and the only two items that came up in .15 seconds, were the first two postings where this name showed up.

A rare name indeed! You should feel proud Kam - er - Eirtep.

Oh dear, you can really be mean when you want to, can’t you Hugh? Sure I said some things to you that maybe you thought were out of order but I doubt anything I said was even remotely bad enough to mean I deserve this harsh punishment of having to read, not one, not two, but three of your super-long, seriously mind-numbing comments. It’s like torture. I mean it’s bad enough reading the one comment you leave on each picture, now I’m going to get a triple dose. That’s just too unfair. So I’m sorry because I know you must have put a lot of time into this but I just can’t bring myself to read them. I’m sure they’re all lovely though so well done you. Or should I say, well done Hugh! See what I did there? Clever, ey?
Hugh Petrie | March 13, 2007 10:40PM
You say, Eirtep, " I just can’t bring myself to read them." So you really do prefer ignorance to knowledge. Hilariious. You promt reaction but don't want the consequence.

And, "I’m sure they’re all lovely though" - I wouldn't say my comments are lovely - just the truth and honest.

It's been interesting, whatever your real name is.
