Once again the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
Azadi Square-
Qazvin-Iran
I was being crushed amongst Ahmadinejad supporters so I only managed to take a few random shots while holding the camera over my head and only a couple of them came out with the main man nearly focused. Here is one of them. I decided to keep it till today so I could call it ‘Goodbye Ahmadinejad’ but seems like our journey into dark ages still continues...
I have wondered while viewing your shots of Ahmadinejad's supporters what your real relation to it was. The Iranian ladies interviewed on CBC radio would seem to have sought someone more joyful and freedom loving and it's encouraging to read your comment on the dark ages.
Salaam
I am surprised that you managed to get so close to him, I would have thought security would have been tighter. Although I have seen other shots elsewhere where photographers have been able to get close. Great work...
