CurlyToes| September 10, 2005 7:35AM Now THAT does NOT look like quality German engineering.
shirin| September 10, 2005 9:49AM Hee hee, well spotted Curly Toes. That was in fact part of the old Rover factory (built by the British I presume) that was then bought by BMW a few years ago and became BMW Plant Oxford where they make the new Minis. Don’t worry though, that is not where they make the cars, this is where the offices are I think. The part of the factory in which the Minis are made is actually quite flashy and very high-tech.
payam| September 10, 2005 7:53PM WOW! I love these sort of shots... everything either aligning to the vertical or horizontal axis. you've used it very well here!
Zoya | September 10, 2005 11:16PM How do you "see" such things? Sometime somebody said about some writer that "He can write a story about ANYthing" Now, you can take a picture from ANYthing and make it look a great SOMEthing! Well done indeed.
Kamyar| September 12, 2005 8:59AM Thank you Shirin, yes this is one of the old areas of the factory left from the Rover days but there are no offices in there. It used to be the paint-shop in the old days but now I believe it’s the Wax area, a section between paint-shop and the final assembly.
shirin| September 12, 2005 12:09PM Umm, well done me then. It gets even worse when you know that I actually worked there for six months as well! How I ever found my way around that place is of course one of the great mysteries of the universe.
SUN | December 8, 2005 6:28PM I Suspect SHIRIN Found Her Way Around by Only Proceeding on the Vertical or Horizontal Axis.
cloud | August 26, 2007 6:38PM 6 month? I've been there 6 years! That is I believe a mix between offices, logistic area and painted body storage at the back of it. The investment by BMW in this plant have been massive, and very welcome if you ask me. :-)
